Upload via [https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1000814/ firmware restoration utility], after it seems like endless reboot. wait for lan lights to flash twice, the do a [[Project:DD-WRT/Hard reset or 30/30/30|30-30-30 reset]] using WPS button as reset button. Using the actual reset button  for a 30-30-30 will put it in recovery mode.

Set up the Router Rescue Mode 

Take [RT-AC68U] as an example

Unplug the router's power cord.

Press the Reset button.

Keep long pressing the Reset button and plug the cord to DC IN at the same time.

Notice: Please DO NOT release the Reset button until the Rescue Mode is enabled.

The router turns to the Rescue mode when you see the power indicator light is slowly flashing.
